I take a simple approach to privacy: this portfolio uses only the information needed to show the site, remember your theme preference, and, if you agree, collect anonymous usage statistics. There are no ads or marketing profiles built from your data.

In short: this site remembers your theme and cookie choices, and, only if you allow it, uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and interaction patterns. You can use the site fully without enabling analytics.

1. Who operates this site

This portfolio is a personal site maintained by me to showcase my UI/UX and product experience work and to provide ways to connect for collaboration, hiring, or guidance.

2. What information is collected

2.1. Information you actively provide

You may choose to share information with me in two main ways:

Email: when you click “Request CV” or “Start a conversation”, your email client opens with a pre-filled message. Any information you send in that email (such as your name, role, company, and context) is stored in your email and mine, not in this website.
LinkedIn: if you connect or message me on LinkedIn, your interaction is handled by LinkedIn under their own privacy policy.

2.2. Technical information

Like most websites, basic technical information may be logged by the hosting provider (for example, to keep the site secure and running):

IP address and approximate region
Browser type and version
Date and time of access
Pages or files requested

These logs are used only for security, troubleshooting, and reliability, not for advertising or individual profiling.

3. Cookies & local storage

This site uses minimal browser storage for essential, UX-related features and, if you allow it, anonymous usage analytics.

3.1. Theme preference (local storage)

When you toggle between light and dark mode, your preference is saved in local storage so that the site can use the same theme the next time you visit from the same browser and device.

3.2. Cookie notice choice (local storage)

When you respond to the cookie banner, your choice is saved so you do not see the same prompt on every page load.

3.3. Analytics cookies (optional)

If you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner, Google Analytics may set its own cookies or use similar technologies to measure aggregated usage patterns (for example, which pages are visited and how often). These are used only to understand overall site performance and improve the content and structure of this portfolio.

You can use the site without enabling analytics; in that case, no analytics cookies should be set by this site.

4. Third-party services

This site may link to or rely on the following external services:

4.1. LinkedIn

LinkedIn is used to display my professional profile and to allow you to connect or send messages. Any interactions on LinkedIn are governed by LinkedIn’s own terms and privacy policy.

4.2. Email provider

When you send an email (for example, to request a CV or discuss collaboration), your message is handled by your email provider and mine. The website itself does not store or process your email content.

4.3. Hosting provider

The hosting provider that serves this site may record standard access logs as described above (Section 2.2) to maintain reliability and security.

4.4. Google Analytics (optional)

If you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner, this site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and usage patterns. This helps identify which pages are useful and how the portfolio is performing so it can be improved over time.

Google Analytics may collect information such as which pages you visit, how long you stay on them, your browser and device type, and rough geographic region. IP anonymization is enabled to help reduce the identifiability of this data, and the analytics are used only in aggregate form.

You can switch to “Essentials only” at any time by clearing cookies and site data for this domain in your browser and reloading the page, or by using the cookie settings link in the footer (if available) to update your choice.

5. How your information is used

Any information you share directly (for example, via email or LinkedIn) is used solely to:

Respond to your enquiry
Discuss potential collaboration, hiring, or guidance

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

You can clear cookies and local storage for this site in your browser settings if you no longer want your preferences (theme or cookie choice) to be remembered.
You can choose not to contact me via email or LinkedIn if you prefer not to share any personal information.
If you have contacted me and would like your messages removed from my inbox, you can request that via email and I will do my best to honor that, subject to any legal or operational requirements.

7. Changes to this notice

If I update how this site works or add new features (for example, additional analytics, integrations, or contact options), I may update this privacy and cookies page to reflect those changes. Any significant updates will be dated and explained in clear language.
